How to Use the Flower Pattern + 6 Cavity Silicone Soap Mould at Home

Azlok's Flower Pattern Shape Mold + 6 Cavity Round Flower Mould is a two-piece silicone set made for pouring homemade soaps, candles, sugar scrubs and other cast creations. Because it is soft, heat-resistant silicone, you simply pour your mix, let it set, and flex the mould to pop out neat flower-shaped pieces without any greasing or fuss.

What you can make with it

This combo pack is deliberately versatile. The flower pattern shape gives you a larger decorative slab or single piece, while the 6-cavity round flower mould turns out several matching pieces in one go — handy for gifting sets and small batches.

  • Cold-process and melt-and-pour soaps with a pretty floral face.
  • Candles — wax tealights, embeds and shaped decorative candles.
  • Sugar and salt scrubs pressed into solid bars.
  • Bath melts and lotion bars using butters and waxes.
  • Resin, plaster or wax embellishments for craft projects.

How to use the mould

  1. Clean and dry the silicone before your first use and between projects.
  2. Prepare your mix — melt your soap base or wax, or blend your cold-process batter to trace.
  3. Pour steadily into each cavity, filling evenly. Tap the mould gently on the counter to release trapped air bubbles.
  4. Let it set fully. Melt-and-pour soap firms in a few hours; candles need to cool completely; cold-process bars need to stay in the mould for 24–48 hours.
  5. Unmould by flexing the silicone outward and pushing from the base. Pieces should release cleanly.

Silicone rarely needs a release agent, but if you are working with a sticky recipe, a very light spritz of oil never hurts.

Tips for cleaner results

  • Pour at the right temperature. Too hot and delicate details blur; too cool and the mix drags.
  • For soap, wait until melt-and-pour just starts to skin over before adding a second layer, so the layers bond.
  • Chilling in the fridge for 20–30 minutes helps firm bars quicker, though avoid this with fragile fragranced blends that can sweat.
  • Fill each round cavity to a consistent level so your set looks uniform.
  • Keep the mould on a flat tray while it sets, so it stays level and easy to shift.

Safety notes

These molds are heat-resistant, but treat hot wax and lye-based soap batter with respect. Wear gloves and eye protection when handling raw cold-process soap. Work in a well-ventilated space, keep children and pets away from your pouring station, and never use the same mould for both craft materials and food unless it is clearly rated and reserved for food use. Silicone that has held soap, candle wax or resin should stay a dedicated craft tool.

Buying and storage

The Azlok set is priced at ₹389 and comes as a 1 Combo Pack or 2 Combo Pack. Colours are supplied as multicolour, and if your requested colour is out of stock, an alternative colour mould of the same design may be delivered. Made in India from good-quality silicone, it suits both first-time makers and those running a small handmade business.

To make your mould last:

  • Wash with warm water and mild soap, then dry fully before storing.
  • Store flat or loosely rolled, away from sharp objects that can nick the silicone.
  • Keep out of direct sunlight and away from open flame when not in use.
  • Avoid cutting inside the cavities — a knife can permanently score the surface.

FAQ

Do I need to grease a silicone soap mould?

Usually not. The flexible silicone releases most soaps, candles and scrubs on its own. For particularly sticky recipes, a very light coat of oil helps.

How much soap does the 6 cavity round flower mould hold?

Each round cavity gives a bar of roughly 80–110 grams, depending on your recipe and how full you pour, so it is well suited to standard handmade soap bars.

Can I use this mould for candles as well as soap?

Yes. The heat-resistant silicone works for wax candles, embeds and melts. Just reserve the mould for craft use rather than switching it back to food.

How long should I leave the soap before unmoulding?

Melt-and-pour soap is ready in a few hours once firm. Cold-process soap should stay in the mould for about 24–48 hours before you gently flex it out.

Is the mould oven or microwave safe?

It is heat-resistant silicone intended for pouring warm mixtures. Follow the temperature guidance for your specific recipe and avoid direct flame or extreme heat.
