Flower & Rectangle Silicone Soap Mold Combo: A Maker's Guide

Azlok's Flower Pattern Shape and 6-Cavity Rectangle Silicone Mold Combo is a two-piece set for pouring homemade soaps, candles and sugar scrubs. Made from flexible, heat-resistant silicone, both moulds release easily so your bars keep their shape and detail without cracking or sticking. It suits first-time makers and small businesses alike, and the combo starts at ₹289.

What you get in the combo

The set includes two distinct silicone moulds so you can add variety to a single batch:

  • Flower Pattern Mould — a decorative single-piece design measuring roughly 18.4 x 18.4 cm, weighing about 100 gm. Ideal for detailed, guest-style soaps and embeds.
  • 6-Cavity Rectangle Mould — an overall tray of about 19 x 20 x 2.5 cm with six bar cavities, each producing a rectangular soap of roughly 8 x 5.5 x 2.4 cm and 80–90 gm.

Both are made from silicone and usually supplied in pink. If pink is out of stock, Azlok may send an alternative colour of the same mould so your order isn't held up.

What you can make with it

Silicone moulds are far more flexible in use than rigid plastic. This combo works well for:

  • Cold-process and melt-and-pour soaps — the rectangle tray is perfect for uniform full-size bars, while the flower mould adds decorative pieces.
  • Candles — pour soy or beeswax to create shaped pillar or novelty candles.
  • Sugar and salt scrubs — press firm scrub bars that release cleanly.
  • Bath bombs, wax melts and resin embeds — the detailed flower shape captures fine patterns.

How to use the moulds

  1. Place the mould on a flat, rigid tray or board so it stays level when you carry it.
  2. For melt-and-pour soap, melt your base, add colour and fragrance oil off the heat, then pour into the cavities.
  3. Tap the mould gently on the counter to release trapped air bubbles from the surface.
  4. Let the soap set fully — usually a few hours for melt-and-pour, and 24–48 hours before unmoulding cold-process bars.
  5. To unmould, flex the silicone gently and push from the base. The bar should pop out cleanly; there's no need to grease the mould.

Care, safety and storage tips

  • Silicone is heat-resistant, but avoid direct flame and check the temperature guidance of your specific wax or soap base before pouring hot liquids.
  • Wash with warm water and mild dish soap after each use, then air-dry fully to prevent residue building up in the flower pattern's detail.
  • Do not cut soap inside the mould with a knife, as this can nick the silicone.
  • Store flat or loosely rolled, away from sharp objects and direct sunlight, so the mould keeps its shape.
  • Keep raw soap-making materials — lye, fragrance oils and colourants — away from children and pets, work in a ventilated area, and never use the mould for food after using it with non-food chemicals.

Buying and pack sizes

The combo is available as a 1 Pack, 2 Pack, 5 Pack and 10 Pack. A single set is a sensible starting point for hobbyists, while the larger packs make sense if you sell handmade soaps and want to pour multiple batches at once. Because the moulds are made in India and priced from ₹289, they're an easy, low-risk way to try soap-making before investing in more equipment. You'll find this combo, along with soap bases, fragrance oils and colourants, in the soap-making section at Azlok.

FAQ

Do I need to grease silicone soap moulds before pouring?

No. Silicone is naturally non-stick, so greasing is not required for melt-and-pour or cold-process soap. Just let the soap set fully before flexing the mould to release it.

Can I use these moulds for candles as well as soap?

Yes. The silicone is heat-resistant and works for soy wax, beeswax and other candle waxes, as well as soaps, scrubs and resin. Always check that your material's pouring temperature is within safe limits.

How many bars does the rectangle mould make?

The rectangle mould has six cavities, so you get six bars per pour. Each bar is approximately 8 x 5.5 x 2.4 cm and weighs around 80–90 gm, depending on your recipe.

Will I definitely receive a pink mould?

Pink is the standard colour. If it is out of stock, Azlok may send the same mould in another available colour so your order can ship without delay.

How do I clean the flower pattern mould properly?

Wash it in warm water with a little mild dish soap, using your fingers to reach into the detailed pattern, then rinse and air-dry completely before storing to avoid residue and odours.
