Imidazolidinyl Urea (Imid Urea) - NSA

Imidazolidinyl Urea (CAS 39236-46-9) is a broad-spectrum cosmetic preservative that prevents bacterial, yeast, and mould growth by releasing trace amounts of formaldehyde. Used in lotions, shampoos, and personal care formulations, it extends shelf life effectively. Recommended usage level is typically 0.1–0.5%. Not suitable for leave-on products for sensitive skin without patch testing.
