Basil Hydrosol

Natural basil hydrosol is the by-product of steam distillation of basil essential oil. There are two types of basil, namely, sweet basil (Ocimum basilicum) and holy basil (Ocimum sanctum), also called tulsi. It can be obtained from the extraction of these two essential oils. Basil is a natural antibacterial and antifungal. These two qualities make basil floral water excellent to add to lotions or 'spray recipes' designed to fight fungi .
